students grades online! With EdLine you can keep informed on how
your child is doing in their classes. Ask your child's school
office for more information on activating this feature!
The Gentry Public Schools utilizes a
Parent Notification System to keep parents updated about
upcoming events via Telephone, E-mail, and Text Messaging. Please
make sure your information is up to date with your students school office
to stay informed!
The Gentry Public Schools has 13
computer labs for students! 4 of those are mobile labs that can
be
moved between classrooms.
In an ongoing effort to support reading
students now have the ability to take tests on any Accelerated Reading
book offered by Renaissance Learning. Students can test their
reading skills for over 130,000 different books!
Several classrooms have a Classroom
Performance System giving teachers immediate results and a way
for students to interact. The program allows students to submit
answers through remote controls and give them immediate feedback
on the screen.

iPads in
the Classroom
Mrs. Regenia Barrett involves her students through
technology. The iPad here is reading a childrens story
aloud as the students follow along and interact.

Distance
Learning Labs
The
Gentry High School has two distance learning labs.
We partner with NWACC
and the Distance Learning Center to offer a wide variety
of classes that are currently not offered locally.
Our students never miss
out on an opportunity to learn!

Libraries
All of
our School Libraries have Internet Accessible computers
for student research, class work, and Accelerated
Reading quizing.
Elementary Labs
The
Gentry Primary and Intermediate Schools have three labs
where students learn computer skills. We have age
appropriate software to help improve skills in Typing, Reading,
Writing, and Math.
FUTURE TECHNOLOGY
Mobility
Gentry Public Schools is
working hard to get technology in the hands of students
and teachers. We currently plan to implement wireless
throughout our district to facilitate the future
growth of mobile labs, iPads, and other internet
accessible devices.
